BMW chassis codes start with E (older), F (mid-cycle), or G (current). The number identifies the model line: 30 = 3 Series sedan, 31 = 3 Series wagon, 80 = X-series, etc. Use /chassis/{code} on bmv.vin to see every cohort across model years for one chassis.
